Santa Eulària des Riu
Cala Llenya is located at 10 kilometres from Santa Eulària des Riu, between Cala Nova and Punta d’en Ribes, as well as close to the urbanization of Can Jordi. Its name comes from the thick pine forest that surrounds all the area and almost arrives to the sea.
This v form inlet ends when reaching ground at a triangular slope of fine toasted sand. At the rear part a spectacular pine forest can be found, the dry stream of Torrent d’es Coix and a path, almost hidden by the vegetation, which leads to the neighbouring Cala Nova, where one of the best camp sites of Ibiza can be found.
This sand slope of clean waters has a slight inclination (at 15 meters from the shore there is a meter of depth). It is west faced and receives the strong winds of this direction, usually blowing from land to sea and generating a heavy swell. These conditions causes that all the precautions should be taken when swimming in its waters or anchoring a boat. The closer harbour premises are the Club Nàutic des Canar.
The access by road is simple, just following the traffic signals. The vehicle can be freely parked in the surroundings. It also can be reached using public transportation, which closest bus stop is at 100 metres.
All these reasons explain why Cala Nova has a great affluence of local bathers.
